Trip details
This is a great way to explore the urban jungle that is the Miami canal system. I spend 200 days out on the canals each year and know them like the back of my hand. A typical day nets anywhere from 10-30 fish, with hopefully that big peacock many are looking for. Days with 40+ fish happen, especially when you time it right. You may also see macaws, peacocks, iguanas, manatees, and many other interesting animals. The most effective way to target a peacock bass is with shiners. If you choose to use the shiners to target peacock: I will pick them up before I meet you. The cost is about $10 per dozen. I recommend at a minimum of 5 dozen per angler. For the most successful peacock trip I highly suggest shiners. Tips for these trips are recommended at 15-20%, but not required.
