Trip details
The remote locations we fish for largemouth bass in South Florida are the epitome of contrast from the busy and bustling lifestyle of the city. You’ll watch the urban landscape slowly disappear on the early morning drive into the glades, and transform into a sea of grass for as far as you can see. Incredible scenery, minimal noise, and superb bass fishing make this trip something everyone should experience in their lifetime. During peak times of the year, it’s not uncommon to boat over 100 fish during a trip. On average we land between 20 - 50 fish per outing, and you have the potential to connect with a trophy largemouth on any cast. Other fish you might encounter are bowfin, gar, bluegill, crappie, oscars, and a host of unique and colorful cichlids that have found their way into these waters. Other wildlife you’ll commonly see on this trip are alligators, snakes, great blue herons, osprey, hawks, and many different species of wading birds. It is truly a place unique to South Florida, and the combination of fishing, scenery, and tranquility make it one of my favorites. We target largemouth bass with artificial lures, but live shiners are always available for anyone wanting the highest chance of success.
